Big Lots in Cortlandt Manor Holds Grand Opening Ceremony [PHOTOS]

Big Lots had a grand opening and ribbon cutting ceremony for its Cortlandt Manor store Friday.

Officials from Lakeland schools and the Town of Cortlandt attended the event and  the store presented a $2,500 grant to Walter Panas High School during the ceremony.

The Cortlandt Manor store, which is the chain’s first in Westchester County, is located on Route 6 and occupies a 30,000-square-foot space once occupied by Circuit City.

Big Lots is a discount retailer that focuses on closeout and overstock merchandise. There are more than 1,400 Big Lots in 48 states. The store opened Nov.9 and has a workforce of 75 employees.
