PHOTOS: Clothing Room at Montrose VA

The clothing room at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Montrose offers blazers, dress pants, ties, T-shirts, shoes and more—including a personal browsing session—for former service members who show a Veterans Identification Card.

The room sees a couple dozen veterans each week. It's run by volunteers who wash, iron and organize the garments. They work with one veteran at a time while others wait in the lobby area.

The items are free for the veterans. Most are donated, as was the case Friday when State Sen. Greg Ball dropped off warm winter clothing that was collected through a drive. New or gently used pieces are always welcome.

The clothing room is located in Building 15. Hours are from 8:30 to 10:45 a.m. and 11:45 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays.
