Police Charge Peekskill Man with Felony DWI
Angel Cobos was arrested after police allegedly found him passed out in his car on Phoenix Avenue Monday morning.

A 28-year-old Peekskill man is in Westchester County Jail after police arrested him for felony counts of driving while intoxicated and aggravated unlicensed operation Monday.
Peekskill police arrested Angel Cobos at about 5:30 a.m. Monday on the 900 block of Phoenix Avenue. Â

Officers responded to the 900 block of Phoenix Avenue for a report of a suspiciousÂ
vehicle. When officers arrived, they allegedly found Cobos inside a vehicle that was stopped in the roadway. Â

Cobos allegedly failed several field sobriety tests and was arrested for driving while intoxicated. Additional tests showed that Cobos had a blood alcohol content greater than .08 percent, the legal limit in this state.
A records check also allegedly showed that Cobos had a suspended license.
A person can be charged with felony DWI if they have had a prior conviction within the last 10 years.
