Pantless Driver in Pickup Truck

Friday, Feb. 17 – 3:16 p.m. – A resident of 6th Street in Verplanck reported that a man who was not wearing any pants was sitting in a silver pickup truck near her home.  The vehicle was gone upon an officer’s arrival.

Internet Scam Victim

Thursday, Feb. 16 – 5:19 p.m. – A resident of Ely Road reported to Westchester County Police that she was the victim of an attempted Internet scam.  A man claiming to be from an Internet security company called her home and asked for information regarding her home computer.  The resident became suspicious and refused to provide the information.  A callback number the man provided was a fake.

Stalker Ex-Boyfriend

Wednesday, Feb. 15 – 2:08 p.m. – A resident of Locust Avenue came to the North Command precinct to report that an ex-boyfriend has been stalking her by waiting in his car near her home and showing up at places where he knows she will be.  The county police assisted the woman in applying for a court Order of Protection barring the man from having any contact with her.

Dog Bites Police Officer

Wednesday, Feb. 15, 3:50 p.m. – A Westchester County police officer was bit by a dog while conducting a warrant investigation at a house on Montrose Station Road.  He drove himself to Hudson Valley Hospital Center for treatment.
