Reader's Choice: Where's the best place to celebrate St. Patrick's Day?

Tell us where you go for green beer, Irish soda bread or a good Irish celebration?

Whether you plan to celebrate St. Patrick's Day attending a mass or enjoying traditional Irish food and drink, chances are you have a favorite place to go every year on March 17.

A good church service, exciting parade, green beer, Irish soda bread or perfectly poured Guiness are just some of the things that the Irish (and others) seek on St. Patrick's Day. The day is meant to celebrate Saint Patrick, the most commonly recognized of the patron saints of Ireland and the arrival of Christianity in Ireland. It is considered the largest Saint's day celebration in the world.

Peekskill and Buchanan held their St. Patrick's Day celebrations which leaves Saturday open for locals to travel to New York City's annual parade.
