Single-family homes in Westchester, Rockland and Putnam are selling at a quicker pace now than they were last year, according to a new report released by the Hudson Gateway Association of Relators.
Real estate data shows all three counties saw a boost in second-quarter 2013 sales when compared to second-quarter 2012 sales. The Hudson Gateway group—a collection of realtors in the tri-county region, and Orange County—collected and culled the data.
The second-quarter breakdown:
Westchester:Â
- 1,151Â single-family houses sold in 2012Â
- 1,425 sold in 2013Â
- 23.8 percent increase
Rockland:Â
- 292Â single-family houses sold in 2012Â
- 313 sold in 2013Â
- 7.2 percent increase
Putnam:Â
- 160Â single-family houses sold in 2012Â
- 177 sold in 2013Â
- 10.6 percent increase
