Restaurant Week Spotlight: The Peekskill Brewery
Hudson Valley Restaurant week runs from March 18 until March 31. This feature highlights our local restaurants who are participating in the popular event.

Hudson Valley Restaurant Week runs from March 18 until March 31. It is a time when many participating restaurants offer prix fixe lunches for $20.95 and dinners for $29.95. If you have not done so already, make reservations now.
The annual event, in it's sixth year, entices people to venture outside of their local areas to try new restaurants. It also brings tourists from outside the region to Hudson Valley towns and cities to see what they have to offer. Last year, the event drew more than 200,000 people to 160 restaurants. This year more than 200 restaurants are participating.

Leading up to the week, we asked our five local participating restaurants (see list below) a few questions about their offerings. We will post answers as they are provided. Please read owner Kara Berardi's thoughts below. Also, feel free to leave a review of The Peekskill Brewery, or any other local restaurant, on Patch Places.Â
1. What do you like about Restaurant Week?

Restaurant Week is a chance to showcase the bounty of the Hudson Valley as well as all of the amazing restaurants in the area! At Peekskill Brewery, we love restaurant week as it gives up a chance to exceed expectations of what someone might think a brewpub might offer. Â Â
2. What is on the menu?
Chef Sean Corcoran's menu is heavily influenced by British pub cuisine. Â Then add the fact that we make our own Hudson Valley product to showcase- our beer! Â Pairing beer with the food and the food with the beer is a simple pleasure for us. Our menu reflects the flavors of the season and of course food that is designed with a pint in mind. Â We make everything in-house.
3.Who designs the menu/what is the science behind a good prix fixe menu?
Chef Sean Cocoran designs the menu and then we all discuss it as owners (Keith, Morgan and myself).
4.What is your favorite dish?
Our favorite dish is the Tasting of Pork Charcuterie board has housemade rillettes, brawn and terrine (Chef Sean loves the pig!) it is really something special.Â
5. Do you suggest reseravations?
We offer our restaurant week menu in the both our pub and dining room. The pub is open seating and we don't take reservations there. However, in our dining room reservations are strongly suggested.Â
6. Are your desserts made in house?
All our desserts are made in house. The Sticky Toffee Pudding on the menu will be made with a Peekskill Brewery Old Wagon Ale Caramel.Â
