Restaurant Week Spotlight: The Woods at Hollow Brook Golf Club

If you haven't already, make your reservations now. Hudson Valley Restaurant Week runs from March 18 until March 31. It is a time when many participating restaurants offer prix fixe lunches for $20.95 and dinners for $29.95. 

The annual event, in it's sixth year, entices people to venture outside of their local areas to try new restaurants. It also brings tourists from outside the region to Hudson Valley towns and cities to see what they have to offer. Last year, the event drew more than 200,000 people to 160 restaurants. This year the event features more than 200 restaurants.

Leading up to the week, we asked our five local participating restaurants (see list below) a few questions about their offerings. We will post answers as they are provided. Please read Director of Sales Robbyn Sciullo's thoughts below. The Woods is opening to the public for Restaurant Week only for dinner. They offer the $29.95 prix fixe dinner. 

1. What do you like about Restaurant Week?

It is a great opportunity to show the communities what we do here at Hollow Brook and to let folks know we have amazing food and we do non-member events.

2. What is on the menu?  

The menu is a lovely combination of some of our simple hearty dishes and a few of our more complex delicately flavored ones. Read the menu here. 

3. Who decides the menu?  

The menu is decided upon with a collaboration of the Chef, the General Manager, and the Catering Director.

4. What is your favorite dish on the Restaurant Week menu?  

The Grilled Hereford Farm Raised Ny Strip Steak with Pommes Frites!!!   

6. Is your dessert home made?

The dessert is going to be different each day and the Chef will create something decadent!!!
