School Budget Hearings, Paramount Lease Agreement Reached

1.)  Red House Entertainment to Sign Lease Agreement for Paramount Tonight

Red House Entertainment and the City of Peekskill are scheduled to sign an a lease agreement for the Paramount Center of the Arts tonight during a special Common Council meeting. The meeting begins tonight at city hall.

2.)  Mother’s Day Paper Flower Craft for Teens at the Field Library

Teens & tweens, come to make a beautiful paper flower and a card to go with it, for that special lady in your life. This event, which takes place today at 3:30 p.m., is free of charge and open to students in middle and high school.Generously underwritten by a grant from the H.O.P.E. For Youth Foundation, supporting Hudson Valley youth programs that foster healthy growth and positive achievement. 3.) Public Hearing on Peekskill School Budget Scheduled Tuesday

The Peekskill school board has a hearing scheduled for its $78.4 million budget proposal during Tuesday’s board meeting. The public session of Tuesday’s meeting begins at 7 p.m. inside the district’s administrative office building, located at 1031 Elm St. at Peekskill.

4.) Public Hearing on Hendrick Hudson School District Scheduled Wednesday

The Hendrick Hudson school board has a hearing scheduled for its $72.1 million budget proposal during Wednesday’s board meeting. The public session of Wednesday’s meeting begins at 7:30 p.m. inside the Hendrick Hudson High School Library, located at 2166 Albany Post Rd. in Montrose.

5.) Gospel Music Extravaganza Fundraiser for Juneteenth Scheduled for Thursday

The Peekskill Middle School is hosting the Gospel Music Extravaganza Thursday. The event, which is being held as fundraiser for this year’s Juneteenth Celebration in Peekskill, will feature gospel singers from Peekskill and the surrounding area. Tickets cost $5. Doors open at 6:15 p.m. and the concert begins at 7 p.m. Call the Peekskill Youth Bureau at (914) 734-8418 for more information.
