Example of job responsibility in the Cortlandt position are:
- Posts to general ledger accounts from revenue and expense records
- Maintains departmental accounts and updates financial records, as required
- Makes periodic reports to Town Comptroller concerning financial conditions
- Prepares bank reconciliations
- Issues receipts for deposits and issues refunds
- Prepares vouchers
- Performs or assists in the coding of accounts, classifying receipts and disbursements
- Prepares letters for customers
- Generate reports from billing software
- Analyze billing data for variances
- Reconcile cash receipts to bank deposits and billing registers
Applicants must have excellent computer skills and strong experience with Excel spreadsheets, word processing and database software.

The employee in this position must be self-motivated, work well independently, have excellent project management skills and be detailed oriented.
Salary will be commensurate with experience; town of Cortlandt residents are preferred.
