Shot Fired; Peekskill Man Taken Into Custody: Police
Police said an illegally possessed semiautomatic 9mm pistol was recovered during the investigation.
PEEKSKILL, NY — A Peekskill man was accused of firing a weapon during a fight Tuesday.
The City of Peekskill Police Department said, around 3:15 p.m. Tuesday officers responded to multiple reports of shots fired in the area of the 500 block of Nelson Avenue.
An investigation found that one shot had been fired during an altercation.

On Wednesday morning, Peekskill detectives took David Gaetan of Peekskill into custody.
The firearm — an illegally possessed semiautomatic 9mm pistol — was recovered during the investigation.

Gaetan is in police custody and was waiting to be arraigned Wednesday.
