2.) Peekskill Planning Commission Meets Tonight

The Planning Commission is scheduled to meet tonight at 7:30 p.m. inside city hall. Go here for more information.

3.) Patch Gets a New Look

4.) “2K Walk or Roll to End Veteran Homelessness” Is Wednesday

VA Hudson Valley Health Care System is taking part in a national initiative Wednesday on its Montrose and Castle Point campuses to raise awareness about homeless veterans. Homelessness among veterans is a major concern and one out of six homeless people on any given night are veterans.  Wednesday’s walk will take place at staggered start times, beginning at 11:30 a.m. The  Veterans Affairs Hospital Montrose Campus is located at 2094 Albany Post Rd.

5.) Reiki for Women With Breast or Ovarian Cancer

Michelle Carter, owner of Westchester Putnam Reiki, is providing reiki for women with breat and ovarian cancer 6:30 p.m. Wednesday inside the Hudson Valley Hospital Center, located at 1980 Crompond Rd. in Cortlandt Manor. Carter has practiced Reiki since 2006 and is a master in both the Usui and Celtic Reiki tradition.  Space is limited and pre-registration is required.
