Troopers: Cortlandt Manor Teen Stabs Girlfriend's Mother's Fiancé

A 16-year-old from Cortlandt Manor—who is accused of stabbing his girlfriend's mother's fiancé—is facing misdemeanor and felony charges.

State troopers from the Cortlandt barracks arrested the teen Thursday night. The 911 call reporting a stabbing at a residence on Red Mill Road in town came in at 6:52 p.m., according to police.

When police arrived they found the 30-year-old victim with a stab wound to his lower back, which "he received after getting into an altercation with his fiancé's daughter's 16-year-old boyfriend," according to authorities.

Troopers located the defendant, who had fled into a nearby wooded area, and apprehended him. He's facing a felony charge of first-degree assault and a misdemeanor charge of fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon.

Town of Cortlandt Justice Gerald Klein sent the teen to Westchester County Jail on $100,000 cash/bond bail. He's due in court Monday.

The victim, who is in stable condition, remained hospitalized in Hudson Valley Hospital in Cortlandt Manor, officials said around noon Friday.

"At this time, it is unknown what the cause of the altercation was and the state police investigation in continuing," police said.
