Village Budgets Passed, Peekskill School Board Meets Tonight

1.) Special Peekskill School Board Meeting Scheduled Tonight

The public session of tonight’s meeting is scheduled to begin tonight at 7 p.m. at the here will be a special BOE meeting 4/30/13 at the administration building. Public session will start appx 7 p.m. at the district administration building, 1031 Elm St. in Peekskill. A copy of the agenda is attached to this story.

2.) Lafayette Avenue will be Closed Due to Construction on Route 202/35
Lafayette Avenue, near Route 202, will be closed until 5 p.m. Wednesday due to the construction work that is taking place near the Hudson Valley Hospital Center. Detour signs will be posted.
3.) Buchanan and Croton Village Officials Pass Budgets
Croton officials approved an $18.1 million budget, which represents a 4.63 percent increase, and Buchanan officials approved an $8 million budget, which represents an 2.6 percent decrease, Monday night.
4.) Peekskill Charged with Allegedly Changing Regents Test Scores
Allison Risoli, a social studies teacher at Peekskill, was arraigned Monday on two counts of first-degree offering a false instrument for filing, today in Peekskill. Risoli allegedly altered the answer sheets for two separate Regents examinations. You can read about it here.
5.) The Wellness Club at HVHC Hosts Supermarket Tours Today
Supermarket Tours is an aisle by aisle educational workshop led by Wellness Club Nutritionist Cathy Cohen. The group will take a look at the best choices in produce, meats, dairy, breads, snack foods and more. The tour will begin at noon inside the main entrance of Stop and Shop. Each Class lasts approximately 70 to 90 minutes. Attendees must register by calling (914)526-2366.
