Update: Flood Watch Rescinded
More rain on top of recent downpours could mean flooding in some areas.

4:40 p.m., Feb. 28, 2011: One thing about New York weather, just wait a minute and it will change. The National Weather Service has cancelled the flood watch it had previously posted. It is now forecasting less than a 2/10 inch of precipitation for the afternoon and evening. It will still be gusty tonight. Sustained north winds between 15 and 18 mph are expected with gusts up to 30 mph. The low will be around 28.

With the ground still saturated from Friday's rains, and coupled with the possibility of another inch from Monday's rainfall, the National Weather Service has a flood watch in effect for Westchester, Rockland and Putnam counties through late tonight.
