Pelicans ice hockey team heading to the playoffs

The Pelicans beat Mahopac last night 5-3, securing a spot in the playoffs, which kick off on Feb. 21 at 6 p.m. at the Ice Hutch.

Youth 2 Youth brainstorming session

Youth 2 Youth, a group of teens who have committed to leading drug and alcohol free lifestyles, met at the last night. About a handful of members discussed the upcoming events—karaoke on March 5 (Patch is totally going) and the on March 16 (we’ll be there too)—and ways in which they can encourage new members to join.

Bald Eagles endangered no more

Bald Eagles found their way onto the endangered species list in 1978, but have soared off, thanks to an active restoration effort. Two members of the species—who can’t fly due to injuries—recently made their way to the Bronx Zoo. Read all about the duo here.
