The workshop, called “Everyday Strategies for More Joy and Less Struggle, Stress and Anxiety,” is designed to provide parents simple strategies for sharing mindfulness and yoga with their children.

Gonzalez will help parents gain a greater understanding of how their child’s nervous system, brain and body work together to manage challenges, and help them learn to harness their inner resources so they can thrive.
Thanks to a grant from the Pelham Education Foundation, mindfulness strategies and yoga techniques are now being practiced in special education classes as well as in first and third grade general education classes in all four elementary schools.
