Michaels Makes Plans To Return To Pelham Manor
The Michaels store in Pelham Manor closed a few months ago, but a new store is in the works not too far away.
PELHAM MANOR, NY — We have some great news for crafters, DIY decorators and home designers — Michaels is coming back.
The Michaels location that was in the nearby Pelham Manor Shopping Plaza closed a few months ago. However, store employees told Patch back in December that the store would be be relocating to the Post Road Plaza.

And now, Levin Management Corporation (LMC) just confirmed that it signed a 22,000-square foot lease with Michaels at the Post Road Plaza in Pelham Manor.
E.J. Moawad, LMC senior leasing representative, negotiated the Michaels lease on behalf of Post Road Plaza’s ownership, while Colleen Quinn of Quinn Commercial Properties represented the tenant.

According to Moawad, the new lease underscores the strength of this dynamic Westchester County retail corridor, and adds a popular brand with an experiential spin.
"Michaels is a terrific addition for Post Road Plaza, which is established as a destination property featuring national brands," Moawad said.
Anchored by a 75,000-square-foot ShopRite, Post Road Plaza is also home to Dave & Buster’s, 24 Hour Fitness, HomeGoods, Lane Bryant, Panera Bread, CityMD Urgent Care, Citibank and Smashburger.
"Our latest addition is deeply familiar with the local market and already has a strong customer base here," Moawad added. "Michaels’ recommitment in the immediate neighborhood reflects the desirability of this location. We are pleased to have been able to meet their space needs."
An opening date for the new Michaels location was not given.
According to the company's website, Michaels was founded in 1973 and is headquartered in Irving, Texas. Their stores carry a wide range of arts and crafts supplies, frames, home décor, holiday/seasonal items, and more. They also offer onsite classes and events.
Post Road Plaza is located across from Hutchinson River Parkway Exit 7, at the intersection of Boston Post Road and Pelham Parkway, in the Village of Pelham Manor.
