New Shop-Rite On Pelham Parkway Will Throw A Grand Opening Party
Free coffee, pastries, samples and giveaways are planned to celebrate the renovation and rebranding of the former Fairway.

PELHAM, NY — The folks at the newly opened Shop-Rite know what they're doing. If you want neighbors to come to your big grand opening party, offering free samples is a good start.
ShopRite of Pelham Parkway will be hosting a Grand Opening celebration and ribbon-cutting on Sunday, October 9. Bill Sumas, Executive VP of Village Super Market, Inc., members of the Sumas family, a representative from Feeding Westchester Food Bank, store associates and Pelham community leaders will be in attendance.
The ShopRite of Pelham Parkway is located at 847 Pelham Parkway in Pelham, where the former Fairway Market was renovated and converted to the ShopRite banner.

On behalf of the ShopRite Partners In Caring program, ShopRite’s community-based hunger fighting initiative, Village Supermarkets will present a check to the Feeding Westchester Food Bank.
The schedule for the day:
- Free coffee and pastries: 7 a.m. - 10 a.m.
- Ribbon-cutting ceremony: 10 a.m.
- Customer entertainment and prizes: 11 a.m. - 4 p.m. The first 100 customers of the day will receive a gift bag and the store will give away samples and prizes.
Over this past summer, the state-of-the-art, full-service supermarket began renovations and a rebrand from Fairway Market to the ShopRite of Pelham Parkway. The renovated and rebranded store now offers customers the ShopRite Price Plus® club card and ShopRite’s popular private label lines, foods and products.
In addition, the store offers a large assortment of groceries, along with traditional and favorite ShopRite features, including a full-service meat department with trained butchers; a from-scratch, fresh bakery; a seafood department with fresh, daily deliveries; a produce department with a large selection of organic and locally grown fruits and vegetables; a deli and a floral department.
The store will continue to offer Fairway customer favorites such as the signature fresh coffee program, olive oils and olive bar. Other featured items include freshly prepared foods and quick and easy meal solutions, including Mura Sushi, with over 30 varieties of hand-rolled sushi daily; the Village Sub Shop, with grab-and-go and made-to-order cold subs, wraps, and hot artisan sandwiches; a soup bar featuring eight fresh soups daily; a salad bar, and Chef's Hot Table, with freshly prepared Italian, American and Asian foods prepared by chefs throughout the day; rotisserie and fried chicken; and Bake or Broil with restaurant quality seasoned meats and seafood ready to cook in oven-ready tins, and more than 100 entrees and sides ready to heat and ready to eat.
