Pelham HS Hosts Third Annual History Bowl
Since the History Bowl began three years ago, it has increased in popularity with 40 teams competing this year.

From Pelham HS: PMHS students demonstrated their historical knowledge on Thursday, Dec. 1 in the third annual History Bowl.
The event pits teams of four against each other to answer trivia questions. In the first, second and fourth quarters, students buzz-in to answer questions before their opponents, but if they answer incorrectly other teams can steal the points. In the third quarter, the groups answer eight questions in a 60 second period.
This year’s winning team was “The Dan Dempseys,” comprised of Daniel Dempsey, Michael Anziliotti, John Cohen and Jonathan Salama. The team’s substitute member was Ryan Cannella.
Winners are given a "History Channel: This Day in History" tabletop calendar, which gives them a head start training for next year’s competition.
