The County has requested residents county-wide not use plastic bags, even those marketed as recycling friendly, for comingled items such as bottles, cans, metals, and other plastics.
Suitable alternatives include putting loose comingled items in containers that can be emptied into the truck. Residents can contact the Westchester County Recycling Hotline at (914) 813-5425 for further details and options.
