PMHS Students Participate in Banner Day, Qualify for State Competition
The students competed against more than 400 peers, sharing their power points and poster board's explaining their research.

From PMHS: Pelham Memorial High School’s Science Research program had a banner day competing on Feb. 4 at the Westchester-Rockland Junior Science and Humanities Symposium with five of eight participating students qualifying for the state competition to be held in March.
The students competed at John Jay High School against more than 400 of their peers, sharing their power points and poster board’s explaining their research into complex topics such as behavior, genetics, physical science, biology, medicine, engineering environmental and biochemistry.
Science Research teacher Steve Beltecas praised the students, as well as science teacher Joe DiBello and the District’s Director of Science and Mathematics Dr. Tom Callahan for the program’s success.

“All of our students were awesome and validated that we are one of the best research programs in the State,” Beltecas said. “I would like to extend a special thank you to Joe DiBello and Tom Callahan for all of their hard work and hours spent working with our students to help put us back on top.”
