Slew of Car Thefts in Pelham

There have been numerous car-related thefts that have occurred in Pelham and Pelham Manor recently.


Pelham's Finest continue to investigate numerous car break-ins in our community. Many of the most recent break-ins involved cars that were unlocked. Police continue to encourage people in Pelham and Pelham Manor to lock their cars, but the most recent break-ins prove that everyone isn't listening to their warning.

Some of the most significant, recent break-ins happened in mid-March. One incident involved a man's van being stolen in Pelham Manor. On March 12, money was taken out of a car on Country Club Lane. The car's owner said he left his car unlocked. A few days before those thefts, an unlocked car was stolen from Lake Drive in Pelham Manor.

On March 4, a $1,500 laptop and a Sirius radio was stolen from a Toyota Corolla that was parked on 4th Avenue. On March 3, two cars parked on Linden Avenue had money and a radio taken out of them. Earlier that day, police got a call that an iPhone and a $5,000 watch were stolen out of two cars that were parked on Oak Avenue in the Village.

In February, a $500 tire was stolen from a car that was parked on 1st Street overnight. Around the same time, money was stolen out of a car in Elderwood Avenue, a $200 GPS was taken out of a car on Eastland Avenue and license plates were taken from a car on Sparks Avenue.
