• Yates County to Temporarily Suspend Public Transit Amid Service Provider Transition • The KEUKA SUN (keukasun.com) — Public bus service for Penn Yan and the rest of Yates County will shut down starting Dec. 31 as the county switches to a new transit provider. Officials say the gap before Rochester-Genesee Regional Transportation Authority takes over could last up to two years, after funding talks with current operator Yates Transit Service collapsed over reimbursement rates and financial losses.
