• Philipstown Passes Oil Storage Ban (highlandscurrent.org) — Philipstown’s Town Board has banned large commercial petroleum storage to better protect local drinking water and is moving to tightly confine new gas stations and fuel depots along Route 9 and Route 301. The board also approved Depot Theater’s plan for a new multipurpose building at the town Recreation Department on Route 9D, which would expand youth theater-tech programs and eventually become town-owned space.
