2 Rob Bicyclist They Struck With Car In Plainview: Police
The Syosset man and Plainview woman were arrested on Wednesday.

A man and a woman were arrested for their involvement in robbing a bicyclist who was struck by a car they occupied in Plainview on Wednesday, police say.
According to authorities, a 29-year-old man was riding a bicycle eastbound on Sally Lane when he was struck by a 2011 Hyundai Sonata, knocking him off his bicycle and causing his wallet to fall out of his pocket, at 4:17 p.m. The driver of the vehicle, 23-year-old Syosset resident Dion Jude Hutchings, and the passenger, 21-year-old Plainview resident Summer Sassone, exited the vehicle, police say. Hutchings then picked up the man's wallet and stole an undisclosed amount of cash from it, police say.
Sassonne and Hutchings entered the vehicle and fled westbound on Sally Lane, police say. They were arrested a short time later without incident.

Hutchings was charged with first-degree robbery, third-degree criminal possession of a weapon, three counts of seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and second-degree reckless endangerment.
Sasson was charged with first-degree robbery and seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance.

They will be arraigned Thursday at First District Court in Hempstead.
