Long Island Swim School

Long Island Swim School is the teaching arm of the nationally ranked Long Island Aquatic Club. Our Learn to Swim programs create strong, safe, and confident swimmers for life. With locations in Garden City and Syosset we train over 2,000 children each week at every swim level from Beginner to Olympian. Long Island Swim School offers swim lessons for children ages 2 - 14years old. The main emphasis of our programs is to teach children to swim correctly and develop essential water skills in a relaxed environment. Our goal driven and technique oriented approach is the key to your child's success. Through skill based quality teaching our students develop a joy for learning and a passion for swimming. At Long Island Swim School, we teach children to swim the same way the best in the world do. By using age-appropriate, proven techniques children build real skills in kick, pull, body position, and breath control. Our logical, consistent progression turns every fundamental—whether blowing bubbles or learning butterfly timing—into a building block for efficient, confident swimming. Our professional staff are swimmers and coaches with the knowledge to give your child the skills to achieve more than just water safety. We provide the best foundation possible for success. Not every child will dream of Olympic glory, but every child should have the foundation to take them there. Dragonfly Cares

We’re Dragonfly Cares, a group of providers offering Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and Speech-Language Therapy across Long Island. Our goal is to support children as well as the caregivers around them, while emphasizing community engagement and transparency. Our goal from the start has been to create a supportive network and uplifting environment for the families and therapists we work with. No more one-size fits all models, we provide more and always will. Each group is led by a BCBA and includes 1:1 support from a trained behavior technician. Groups are thoughtfully formed based on each child’s individual needs and skill sets. It’s a wonderful opportunity for your child to build social skills, communication, and more—all in a fun and supportive environment! The <a href="https://plainview.patch.com/groups/business-news/p/chamber-to-hold-networking-breakfast-wednesday" rel="nofollow">Plainview-Old Bethpage Chamber of Commerce</a> will hold a breakfast and networking event with local business owners, followed by a presentation by Nassau County Comptroller George Maragos. Ryan J. Ruf, Assistant Superintendent for Business, Plainview-Old Bethpage Central School District, will also be on hand at the meeting set for Wednesday May 15 from 7:45 - 9:15 a.m. at Somerset Gardens. Both will discuss financial and budgetary issues affecting our community and its members. The breakfast meeting is $5 for members; $10 for non-members. Somerset Gardens is located at 150 Sunnyside Blvd., in Plainview.
