Plainview Water District Thanks the POB Community for Supporting Toys for Tots Holiday Drive
More Than 200 Toys Collected for Local Children in Need

The Plainview Water District (PWD) is proud to announce the successful completion of its annual Toys for Tots Holiday Collection Drive, made possible by the incredible generosity of the Plainview-Old Bethpage community. This year, the District collected more than 200 toys, all of which were donated to the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Foundation to help bring joy to children and families in need during the holiday season.
“The outpouring of support we continue to see each year is truly heartwarming,” said PWD Commissioner Marc Laykind. “Our residents once again stepped up to make the holidays brighter for those who need it most. The Plainview-Old Bethpage community’s compassion and generosity never cease to inspire us.”
The Plainview Water District served as an official drop-off site for the Toys for Tots program from November through December 19th, collecting new, unwrapped toys from residents, businesses and local organizations. The initiative, part of the District’s ongoing commitment to community engagement, continues to be one of its most cherished holiday traditions.

“Participating in Toys for Tots is something our entire team looks forward to every year,” said PWD Commissioner Andrew Bader. “It’s a simple yet powerful way for us and our neighbors to make a meaningful difference. We’re so proud to see how strongly the POB community rallies behind causes like this.”
Since beginning its partnership with Toys for Tots several years ago, the District and its residents have donated hundreds of toys to help ensure that every child experiences the magic of the holiday season.

“This drive is a wonderful reminder of what community is all about,” said PWD Commissioner Michael Chad. “We thank everyone who took the time to drop off a toy and help make this year’s effort such a success. It’s a privilege to serve a community that continually shows such kindness and spirit.”
