The Nassau County IDA's approved incentives for a Long Island business are expected to generate $156M.

(Lifetime )

The Nassau County Industrial Development Agency approved a package of economic incentives to help a Plainview manufacturer with facility renovations.

The incentives will assist Lifetime Chimney Supply LLC, a manufacturer of chimney lining systems, to renovate an approximately 25,230-square-foot facility for continued use as a manufacturing and warehouse facility and the construction of a new approximately 22,000-square-foot, 35-foot-high ceiling warehouse facility.

The $2.69 million project is expected to generate $156 million for the Nassau County economy over the 15-year term of the agreement and generate $4,198,019 in new revenues for taxing jurisdictions, more than double the figure had the project not been undertaken, according to the IDA. The project will allow Lifetime to retain 35 workers and add another eight jobs within two years of its completion.

“I am happy that the IDA has approved this project, which helps keep manufacturing jobs in the county and result in the creation of additional jobs,” said County Executive Laura Curran.

“This project will retain and create jobs in our manufacturing sector, which has been in decline for many years, but still remains vital to our economic growth,” said IDA Chairman Richard Kessel.
