• Northwell nurses give 10-day strike notice (longislandpress.com) — Plainview Hospital nurses have issued a 10-day strike notice, meaning they could walk off the job on January 12 if no new contract is reached with Northwell Health. Along with nurses in Syosset, Huntington, and New York City, they’re pushing for safer staffing ratios, better health benefits, and stronger recruitment and retention, while Northwell insists hospitals will stay fully operational.
