Plainview Chamber Awards Annual Scholarships To High School Grads
The Plainview-Old Bethpage Chamber of Commerce awarded scholarships to two recent graduates of Plainview-Old Bethpage high school.

PLAINVIEW, NY — The Plainview-Old Bethpage announced the recipients of its annual scholarships June 11 during the POB school district's virtual awards night. Madison Stromberg, who graduated from Plainview-Old Bethpage John F. Kennedy High School this past spring, won the chamber's $1,000 award for "What Plainview Means to Me" and one of two $500 awards in memory of former board member Marcia Finkelstein.
The other $500 scholarship was awarded to Samantha Lesser, another recent graduate of Plainview-Old Bethpage John F. Kennedy High School.
The chamber's scholarship judging committee met to read and consider the many anonymous essay entries for this year's awards as soon as the school district's schools closed for the semester.
