Youth Club Chaperones Accused Of Leaving Kids Out In Cold
Eight juveniles were cold and unable to get in contact with the two chaperones who dropped them off, police say.

Two chaperones for the New York Youth Club are accused of leaving eight children to solicit candy and cookies while not properly dressed for the weather, police say.
An officer saw an 11-year-old girl standing alone, soliciting candy and cookies in front of Starbucks on S. Oyster Bay Road in Plainview at 5 p.m. Police say it was apparent the girl was not properly dressed for the decreasing temperatures.
The girl told police she was dropped off along with several other juveniles by two men in a van, who were later identified as 24-year-old West Hempstead resident Jamainne Hall and 19-year-old Rosedale resident Kavon Thompson.
