• Local businesses present $2,000 check to JCEO in Plattsburgh (mynbc5.com) — Several Northern New York businesses just delivered a $2,000 check and food donations to JCEO in Plattsburgh, boosting the local food pantry as winter bills and holiday pressures hit families. JCEO leaders say the support will help keep food and assistance flowing well into the colder months, when many residents struggle most with heating costs and making the holidays special for their kids. 
• New York college approves ‘furry' student club as trend spreads across US campuses (foxnews.com) — SUNY Plattsburgh students now have an officially recognized furry club, “Plattsfur,” approved 11–1 by the Student Association and already drawing 17 members. The group offers a creative, social space for students interested in anthropomorphic animal characters, joining a fast-growing network of similar clubs on campuses nationwide. Activities so far include a coloring meet-and-greet and a campfire meetup.
