From the Pleasantville Union Free School District:
Nearly 400 tee shirts were purchased during the Pleasantville Athletic Program's May Panthers v Cancer fundraiser.
The black tee shirts, inscribed with "Panthers Fight Strong" on the front and "Support the FIGHTERS, Admiring the SURVIVORS, Honoring the TAKEN, and never ever giving up HOPE" on the back, raised nearly $600 for the American Cancer Society's efforts in the treatment/cure of cervical cancer.
Coach and physical education teacher Bob Jordon, who organized the fundraiser, plans to make it an annual event.
