Blasting on Route 9A Will Cause Short Traffic Stops
Weather permitting, it'll happen at noon on weekdays.
MOUNT PLEASANT, NY —The New York State Department of Transportation is advising motorists to expect brief traffic stoppages lasting about a minute in both directions of State Route 9A between Beverly Road and Saw Mill River Road at noon on weekdays through Feb. 1.
Traffic will be stopped because of blasting operations, weather permitting.
Slow down and drive responsibly in work zones. Remember, fines are doubled for speeding in a work zone. Convictions of two or more speeding violations in a work zone could result in the suspension of an individual’s driver license.
