Briarcliff Manor Police: Early Lawn-mowing; Sign Knocked Over

Here's a look at some of the recent incidents investigated by the Briarcliff Manor Police Department:

Friday, Aug. 23

11:50 a.m. — Police received a report of a tree branch down on a vehicle on Pleasantville Road, in front of Moonbean Cafe. Read more here.

Wednesday, Aug. 21

7:56 a.m. — Police responded to a Willow Drive residence after receiving a report of a landscaper using a lawnmower before 9 a.m. Police informed the landscaper of the complaint.

Tuesday, Aug. 20

5:19 p.m. — Police responded to a South Highland Avenue car wash, where a vehicle reportedly backed into a sign, knocking it over. The vehicle's lift gate and bumper were damaged, police said.

9:30 a.m. — Police received a report of an accident involving a school bus on Scarborough Station Road. Responding officers reported the bus hit a parked car, causing some damage. No injuries were reported.

Monday, Aug. 19

11:58 a.m. — Police reported there was a homemade sign from a union attached to Route 9A speed limit sign. An officer removed the sign.
