Briarcliff Manor Police Blotter: DWI Arrest; Suspicious Message

The following is from the police department. Arrests do not indicate convictions.

Here's a look at some of the incidents investigated by the Briarcliff Manor Police Department from July 29  — Aug. 4, 2013.

Sunday, Aug. 4

6:29 p.m. — Police responded to the scene of an accident in Route 9A after Mount Pleasant Police reported following a vehicle into the village. Responding officers said a vehicle was stopped near the Chappaqua Road exit with a flat tire. After interviewing the driver, a 26-year-old Yonkers resident, police arrested her for Driving While Intoxicated.


Saturday, Aug. 3

1:30 a.m. — Police arrested a Rockland County teenager on Woodside Avenue. Read more here.

Friday, Aug. 2

9:25 p.m. — Police arrested a Pleasantville driver after he hit multiple mailboxes in the area of Long Hill Road East. Read more about the incident and arrest here.

9:10 p.m. — A Hickory Road resident reported receiving a suspicious message. She told police the phone message was from an unknown person who said, "Sorry to hear about your loss." The resident said she felt the call was a scam. Police attempted to call back the phone number, but no one picked up.

3:06 p.m. — A Whitson Road resident reported to police a former employee has been harassing him because he feels that he is owed money. No charges were filed at the time.
