Briarcliff Manor Police Blotter: Man's License Suspended 7 Times

The following is from the police department. Arrests do not indicate convictions.

Here's a look at some of the incidents investigated by the Briarcliff Manor Police Department from Nov. 26 to Dec. 2, 2012.

Saturday, Dec. 1

12:37 p.m. — A Chappaqua Road resident reported two dogs loose on Chappaqua Road. Police were dispatched to the scene, though the resident called back shortly later to report the dogs were home safe.

Thursday, Nov. 29

7:44 p.m. — The assistant manager of Dress Barn contacted police and reported noticing a black SUV parked outside the store on numerous occasions. The caller said it appeared someone in the vehicle was observing activity in the store. Police responded to the Chilmark Shopping Center and did not observe the vehicle. Officers advised the complainant to advise police when the vehicle is observed outside the store again.

6:15 p.m. — A Long Hill Road West resident reported she had been notified by Foot Locker about an online transaction on her credit card. The woman said she had not ordered anything from Foot Locker and notified MasterCard about the incident. Police advised her to contact the credit card bureau and fraud department.

Wednesday, Nov. 28

5:07 p.m. — Police stopped a vehicle on Holbrook Road for allegedly failing to pause at a stop sign. Police then arrested the driver, a 30-year-old Ossining resident, for allegedly driving with a suspended driver's license. Police reported the man had seven active suspensions on his license. He is charged with Aggravated Unlicensed Operation on the Second Degree. The man was released on $100 bail and is due in village court on December 12.
