Briarcliff Manor Police Blotter: Shoplifting at A&P; Tree-Cutting Dispute

The following is from the Briarcliff Manor Police Department. Arrests do not indicate convictions.

Here's a look at some of the incidents investigated by the Briarcliff Manor Police Department from May 13—19, 2013.

Saturday, May 18

1:15 p.m. — Police responded to a Brookwood Drive address, where two youths were reportedly engaged in a dispute. Police reported no arrests and said the argument had calmed down by the time they arrived.

Thursday, May 16

6:32 p.m. — Police responded to Scarborough Station Road after a resident reported his parked car appeared to have been struck. An accident report was filed.

4:07 p.m. — Police received a call from A&P Supermarket where three female youths, ages 13 to 14, were in custody for alleged shoplifting. The store's management did not wish to press charges. The three teens were released to their parents.

8:41 a.m. — Police responded to Ridgecrest Road, where two neighbors were reportedly arguing. Police said one neighbor was cutting down trees on the border of the property and the second neighbor claimed the trees were on her property. The first neighbor agreed to stop cutting down the trees until the ownership was clarified.

Tuesday, May 14

5:12 p.m. — Police responded to Long Hill Road West, where a loose Irish Setter has reportedly been struck by a vehicle. The dog was transported to Briarcliff Animal Hospital with its owner's consent.
