Briarcliff MS Incoming Sixth-Graders Get to Know Their School

BRIARCLIFF MANOR, NY - Briarcliff Middle School’s incoming sixth-grade students enjoyed a half-day of reconnecting with peers, tours and introductions on September 6.

The school’s youngest students had the building to themselves before the official start of school, which allowed them to become acquainted with their teachers, practice using their lockers and learn about the responsibilities and independence that come with being a middle school student. Students also learned dining room etiquette through a special session in the cafeteria. They discovered they are able to sit wherever they like at lunchtime and are encouraged to invite new friends to join them.

Sixth-graders’ parents were welcomed and introduced to the school by Principal Susan Howard, who explained the daily routine and other important information to attendees.
