Briarcliff Voters Choose Code as Caucus Candidate

Howard T. Code beat out Laurie I. Sullivan as the People's Caucus of Briarcliff Manor justice candidate.

Howard T. Code has been named the official People's Caucus of Briarcliff Manor candidate for village justice this year.

According to votes finalized by the Caucus Wednesday night, Code beat out current Acting Village Justice Laurie I. Sullivan for the Caucus endorsement, 227 to 54.

Code will now appear on the March 19 village ballot on the Caucus line, along with Village Trustee candidates Lori Sullivan and Mark Wilson and Mayor William Vescio.

"Candidate Laurie I. Sullivan graciously conceded around 9:30 p.m. in true non-partisan spirit," People's Caucus Chair Aaron Stern wrote in an email to Patch Thursday night. "The final tally was 227 to 54 including Absentee Ballots."

The last day to file an independent nominating petition for the March election is Wednesday, Feb. 13.* (Updated)

The 2013 village election will be held on Tuesday, March 19 from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m.
