Briarcliff's March Finds New Home

March Owner Lynn Puro wants her customers to have a special shopping experience.

"It's time for a change—something new and exciting," she shared.

The women's clothing and accessories boutique has just opened its doors at a new, more visible downtown location in Briarcliff Manor and Puro couldn't be happier.

"March is newly energized with a great downtown vibe," she said, citing an "elegant metallic ceiling, fabulous lighting and modern, stylish decor" as some of the changes.

The store has moved from its less conspicuous location just up the street to the space formerly occupied by Wake Robin, but the aesthetic changes inside wouldn't suggest it.

"It has a SoHo feel were were always trying to get in my store," Puro explained. "We are so excited about that."

March has already been a six-year staple in the Pleasantville Road business district, attracting clientele from "All over Westchester County" and even New York City, according to Puro.

"We have a mix of over 50 designers; I keep a broad mix of higher end clothing and lower end lines so it's like a mix and match," she explained. "There are some well-known designers and some unknown designers, so it's a broad range for everyone with different price points."

To ensure a variety of items are always in stock, Puro says she does all the buying herself.

"I pore over fashion magazines all the time," she said. "I'm in the city checking out the latest trends and seeing what we can get into the store."

Since the move, Puro said she is already seen an influx of customers, old and new.

"I have been thinking about moving into the central business district for the past year," she said. "It just makes it easier for shoppers."

And Puro is also getting ready to expand the services offered by March.

"More trunk shows, more events, personal shopping consultations," she listed. "We are probably going to have more accessories and jewelry."

In addition, Puro will be keeping shopping records for interested customers who are looking to update their wardrobes on a seasonal basis or getting ready for a special occasion.

"We can keep a list of what their wishes are and contact them when new things come in," she explained.

Just a few days after opening, Puro said she is thrilled with the new space, as well as the response from customers.

"I love fashion," she said. "I just love it and that's why I am passionate about it. I also love helping people. Not everyone has a fashion sense and I love helping people look their best."
