Crafting A Great November!
Pleasantville Farmers Market is open Saturdays 8:30am - 1:00pm

November brings visits to the Pleasantville Farmers Market by regional craftspersons, with items developed on the farm, or made with a culinary theme. The River Garden offers stunning dried floral items through 11/18 (weather permitting). On 11/11 Alpacatrax brings skeins of wool from their own alpaca herd and finished wool items, including thick wool socks. Living Edge Designs is in with unique cutting boards on 11/11 (rain date of 11/18 if necessary). SallyeAnder shares their beautiful soaps with shoppers on 11/18. Finally, Sharper Harper visits on 11/11 and 11/18 to sharpen knives just in time for the holidays. So in addition to being able to shop the fall harvest you can decorate for the upcoming holidays and gathering some gifts too.

VENDOR HIGHLIGHTS
This weekend Spice Revolution is featuring cozy curries for weeknight meals. Their two featured curries are Garam Masala (an earthy, sweet mix) and our Old School Curry (a traditional sweet yellow Indian Style Curry).
Bombay Chutney Company can help add flavor and spice to your weekly menu. Their chutneys, simmer sauces, and gift boxes sets are great for gifting. As the holidays roll around remember their frozen meals are a great accompaniment for any occasion (their Cranberry chutney is excellent for Thanksgiving celebrations). If you wish to order gift boxes, Chaat Chips, or Roti Rolls, or any items, it is best to preorder using their website to ensure you get what you are seeking.
Dutch Desserts now has their scrumptious pumpkin tarts!
Woven Stars Farm has a full restock of their lamb products: ground, stew meat, shoulder chops, leg steaks, shanks and roasts! Their lamb leg steaks are best seared on a stove top with garlic, rosemary and salt and then finished off in the oven.
Both Fjord Vineyards and Spirits Lab will make their final 2023 visits (they return in April next year!). So check your supply of their terrific artisanal items and stock up!
(Turkey Sign-up Underway) Saturday Hilly Acres Farm will have a full assortment of pork, beef, chicken, fresh brown eggs, and a great selection of pork and beef roasts. They're also now taking preorders for turkeys for Thanksgiving. Turkeys (broad breasted whites) will range 13-20 pounds. Hill Acres raises a limited number of turkeys so it's first sign-up, first served. Stop by their tent for details
Kyle Nisonger of Maple View Farms says that mesclun mix is back - enjoy a mix of fall greens for a sensational salad. Also new fall additions: watermelon radish, escarole, frisee, and napa cabbage.
Trotta Foods has a (wonderful) pumpkin thing going on. Seek them out for pumpkin ravioli, pumpkin tortellini, and pumpkin vodka sauce!
Nina of Bobolink Dairy & Bakehouse is highlighting their cider-washed Amram (silver medal Lyon 2018), Jean louis, and Drumm cheeses -- ideal with fall apples and Market artisanal breads (including Bobolink's own ciabattas!).
Teagevity is ready to serve shoppers in our cooler fall markets, with their grab and go option "Tea2go" in Hibiscus Pineapple, Blood Orange & Hibiscus, Strawberry Fields, Raspberry Summer Lemon & Green Tea & Lemongrass. Also, they've started their line of special fall hot teas, served by the cup: Preston's Pumpkin Chai, Dirty Chai, and Apple Cider Ginger tea with Cinnamon.
Pika's Farm Table arrives each Saturday with delicious quiches, soups, side dishes and appetizers for your week's menu. And they create authentic Liège waffles (yeast-based and containing caramelized chunks of pearl sugar, they're perfect for breakfast or dessert or a quick bite at the Market).
Wright's Farm is with us through 11/18 with a diverse line of preserves, pastured eggs, fresh apples, and plenty of unique pies made on the farm.
Little Seed Gardens (in addition to highlighting their ginger harvest!) is giving a shout out to fall squash. Shoppers can now expect to see fall favorites such as Butternut, Honeynut (smaller version of Butternut with a rich, sweet, nutty flavor), Autumn Frost (specialty Butternut, creamy and mild), and Acorn squash (more mild and savory than Butternuts).
Watch Bien Cuit in the fall as they introduce several seasonal pastries including Apple Cardamom Danish, Butternut Squash Harrisa Danish, and Red Miso Pan au Raisin.
