Update: Area Flooding, Saw Mill Closed in Pleasantville
Even commute slowed down in Pleasantville as major roadways experience flooding.
Update, 8 p.m. — The NYS DOT reports the Saw Mill River Parkway remains closed between Exits 20 (I-87) and 29 (Manville Road in Pleasantville).
Update, 7 p.m. — Metro North reports train service is back on schedule.
Update, 5:54 p.m. — Metro North reports Harlem Line riders "traveling through the vicinity of Valhalla should anticipate delays of 10 to 15 minutes due to weather related conditions."
Heavy rains in the Pleasantville-Briarcliff Manor area have caused some major roadways to flood.
In turn, much of the Pleasantville area (specifically Route 117/Bedford Road) are experiencing major rush hour traffic delays.
Pleasantville Village Administrator Patricia Dwyer reports, "The Saw Mill River Parkway is closed between Manville Road and Marble Avenue in both directions due to flooding. Motorists are advised to avoid this area. Several local streets are also flooding and may be closed to traffic until the water subsides. Expect delays and detours if you are travelling on local roadways."
The New York State DOT reports the Taconic State Parkway is closed in both directions between Commerce Street and Stevens Avenue in Mount Pleasant.

A previously closed portion of Manville Road near the Saw Mill has reopened, but is still somewhat flooded.
