"Sweet potatoes are a good source of magnesium, which is the relaxation and anti-stress mineral. Magnesium is necessary for healthy artery, blood, bone, heart, muscle, and nerve function, yet experts estimate that approximately 80 percent of the population in North America may be deficient in this important mineral". Maple View Farm and Gajeski Produce still have sweet potatoes available." Brought to you by Northern Westchester and Phelps, your local Northwell hospitals.

BEST OF WESTCHESTER
As a community-based service, we’re so proud to have been awarded the honor of “Best of Westchester” in recent years by voters in Westchester Magazine’s annual contest. This feedback is an indication that we’re fulfilling our mission to our community, farmers and food artisans. And the attention it garners attracts new shoppers to the Market, which benefits our producers!
Now the 2024 “Best of Westchester” first round voting is open. Please take a minute to VOTE TODAY in two "best" categories: “Farmers Market” and “Produce”. The magazine's format to vote has some initial steps (sign in with an email, then register, and then input a confirmation code) -- please stick with it to get your votes in!
The contest requires participants fill in an entry for at least five categories -- please vote for all local, small restaurants and businesses that have earned your loyalty in the past year.

- a delicious variety of fresh and regionally-grown foods
- which are fully inspected by our staff to ensure your purchases support regional producers
- and we provide a community gathering place to see friends and enjoy creative programs
All local markets do their part to support Hudson Valley farmers. At Pleasantville Farmers Market we also:

- Provide direct aid and support for school programs and student merit awards
- Limit farm participation to family-run operations
- Inspect all farms and producers to ensure quality and regional sourcing
- Address hunger locally through the SNAP program and by helping direct excess produce to local food pantries
- Provide visibility to local non-profits to share their good works
- Host weekly music and kids events, as well as nutrition talks and culinary demos
