Hot Stuff, Cool Market!
Pleasantville Farmers Market is open Saturdays, 8:30am - 1:00pm

Summer sunshine has super-charged the growing season this week. We'll see a nice morning Saturday at Pleasantville Farmers Market, and as the temperature rises shoppers have plenty of ways to keep cool in the Market, and many items to accommodate hot days at home.
Teagevity's iced teas and Edgwick Farm goats milk can cool one down at the Market. Puras Paletas has numerous delicious flavors of icy, cold pops, and the Market offers free water at the Manager's Tent and in the Music Series area.
This week gather carrots, beets, turnips, and radishes to make a cold slaw. Ready the grill for the freshest seafood, poultry, lamb, or beef steaks (don't start the oven this week!). Enjoy chilled soups from Pika's Farm Table, create crisp summer salads, and indulge in our seasonal fruits (strawberries, apricots, cherries, crisp Jonagold apples) to chill out come dessert time.

Lead Sponsor Northwell Health Tip:
"Follow a balanced eating plan that includes a variety of nutrient-rich foods. Incorporate fruits, vegetables, whole grains, lean proteins, and healthy fats while limiting added sugars, saturated fats, and sodium. A well-balanced diet can help maintain a healthy weight and reduce the risk of chronic conditions." Brought to you by Northern Westchester and Phelps, your local Northwell hospitals.
The Market has been selling its orange, reusable handled bags for years, but shoppers have asked for mesh bags too. The Market now (finally!) offers high-quality, machine washable mesh bags, made with 100% recycled material. Avoid ordering mesh bags online (requiring individual packing material and a delivery truck using fossil fuels) by purchasing yours at the Manger's Tent -- better for the environment! Overall, we hope these bags can prove convenient for our customers and lessen the use of roll bags at our produce vendors' booths.
