Howson Silent During Brief Court Appearance

Christopher Howson, of Sleepy Hollow, appeared in Village Court on charges of attempted murder and strangulation.

A handcuffed and silent Christopher Howson faced Village Justice Andres Valdespino in Sleepy Hollow Village Court this afternoon, only to return to jail moments after.

Howson, 49, of Sleepy Hollow, was arrested Saturday and is being held in County Jail facing charges of second-degree attempted murder and first-degree strangulation.

Sleepy Hollow Police say he called police from his New Broadway home around 3 a.m. Saturday for a domestic dispute. Emergency responders found his wife, whom authorities have not named, unconscious and apparently having suffered cardiac arrest.
