Lawyer Who Stole $3.7 Million From Clients Takes Plea Deal

The Briarcliff Manor resident will spend a little time in prison, The Journal News reports.

BRIARCLIFF MANOR, NY — Former real estate lawyer Laurieanne DeLitta, who stole more than $3.7 million from eight clients, took a plea deal last week in Westchester County Court, The Journal News reported.

She pleaded guilty to one count of second-degree grand larceny. DeLitta is expected to be sentenced in September to one to three years in prison, according to TJN. Read the entire article on lohud.com.

The Briarcliff resident, whose practice was in Armonk, had been indicted in 2021 on eight counts of Grand Larceny in the Second Degree and two counts of Unauthorized Practice of a Profession, all felonies.

Between January 2017 and March 2021, she stole over $3.7 million from eight individuals and estates, prosecutors said.
