Major Taconic Ramp At 9A Will Close Wednesday Morning

Maintenance work is scheduled to take place during the morning and early afternoon, but should be finished before the evening rush hour.

WESTCHESTER COUNTY, NY — Roadwork in Westchester County could mean that getting from here to there today might not be as direct a prospect as expected.

The New York State Department of Transportation (NYSDOT) said that the ramp from the Taconic State Parkway northbound to State Route 9A in Mount Pleasant will close for maintenance.

The closure will take place on Wednesday, October 16, between 9:30 a.m. and 2 p.m., weather permitting.

Drivers should use the posted detour as an alternate.

The NYSDOT is reminding drivers to slow down and drive responsibly in work zones. Remember, fines are doubled for speeding in a work zone. Convictions of two or more speeding violations in a work zone could result in a driver's license suspension.
