The Pleasantville Schools are operating on a two-hour delay schedule.
The Briarcliff Schools are operating on a two-hour delay schedule.
Metro North has issued a Winter Weather Advisory, and is asking its customers "to use caution getting on and off our trains and while waiting on platforms, allow for extra travel time, and listen for announcements while at our stations."
The National Weather Service's winter weather advisory and haardous weather outlook remain in effort. In the villages, "rain, snow, freezing rain and sleet" are expected to continue prior to 2 p.m., followed by a chance of more rain and sleet. Today's high is 36 degrees.

Update, 9:45 p.m.:
In an evening update to the community, Pleasantville Union Free School District Superintendent Mary Fox-Alter said a decision about scheduling will be made in the early morning.
She noted, "If a decision is made to change our schedule for tomorrow, it will be made by 6 AM and then distributed through K 12 Alerts and the major media outlets. Please plan accordingly. hope this storm is a “non-event” – however, in the event that it is not, I wish all our families a safe day and if your path is not as clear as our path, no child will be penalized for missing school."

Westchester drivers may need a few extra minutes in the morning thanks to some wet, winter weather.
The National Weather Service is forecasting rain, snow and sleet overnight, starting with rain just before 1 a.m., and a low of 31 degrees, in the Pleasantville-Briarcliff Manor area tonight.
Although only a small amount will accumulate (less than a half-inch) the roads will be slick for the morning commute.
Then, the 90 percent chance of more snow and sleet continues into Wednesday "before 4pm." Tomorrow's high is 39 degrees.
Throughout Westchester, there s a winter weather advisory in effect from midnight until 4 p.m. Wednesday.
"Use caution while driving," NWS advises.
